Our unique trademark mug hanger design is made 1-1/2 inches wide with the 'cross-punched' slot.  We punch a thick leather disk and rivet that to the end of the hanger strap with an extra-long rivet and thus creating what somewhat resembles a leather-topped post.  The disk is then inserted into the punched whole and slid to the base to secure your drinking mug firmly.  This makes it attractive and strong - no snaps to wear out! This 'leather-to-leather latching' design creates a much firmer 'grip' reducing the chances of easily slipping loose much like the 'string and button' design often used by other leather shops. A fantastic complement for any garb outfit! Made in the USA with all American 9-11 oz. oil-tanned leather. No cheap brittle-tanned imported leather here! The fastening loop is usually around 4-5 inches, so it will fit most mug handles.  But, if you have need of a specific size, just let us know, we'll try to accommodate you.
